Free Community Deworming Days
Every quarter, our vets set up at the Nakuru county grounds to offer free deworming and basic health checks for household pets and small livestock from families who might otherwise go without.
Community Involvement
At Veterinary Resource Centre, caring for Nakuru goes beyond the clinic doors. We run regular outreach programs for local pet owners, smallholder farmers, and the animals that don't have anyone else looking out for them. Our programs
School Animal Welfare Talks
We visit primary schools across Nakuru to teach pupils about responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and basic first aid for the animals many of their families keep at home.
Shelter & Stray Animal Support
We partner with a local animal shelter to provide discounted vaccinations and sterilizations for rescued strays, helping reduce the stray population humanely.
Farmers' Livestock Health Workshops
Free half-day workshops for smallholder farmers on recognizing early signs of disease, vaccination schedules, and basic livestock nutrition - held on request at local farmer groups.
